Dunkirk is located in the Hauts-de-France region just across the border from Belgium, and close to the Netherlands. It is approximately 20-30 minutes drive from Calais on the other side. This is also the best alternative route: the crossing from Calais to Dover.

There isn’t much to do in the Dunkirk port itself. All the basics are available such as restrooms, baby changing facilities, and a port shop, etc.

What is there to do in Dunkirk?

In Dunkirk, there are several things to do, including visiting historical landmarks such as the Musée Portuaire (Port Museum), Fort Risban, and the Leughenaer Tower Museum. You can also enjoy the beautiful beaches, such as Malo-les-Bains beach, and take leisurely walks along the promenade. Additionally, there are various shops, cafes, and restaurants to enjoy.
